Dominica Thames

Dominica Thames is Director of Business Management. In this role, Dominica is responsible for the supervision and control of the general accounting area, design of internal control systems, and for financial statements and reporting. This includes the general ledger, cash receipts, payables, payroll, and budget reporting.

Dominica collaborates closely with the Executive Director and other team members on strategic planning and developing budgets for special projects and events. She also serves as the Human Resource generalist for the association. Dominica has been with the Mississippi State Medical Association for over 20 years and has served in various roles in the finance and accounting department during that time. She takes pride in the work she does for the association.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Jackson State University. She loves spending time with her three children and two grandchildren.
